Mobile Application Developer

Responsibilities:

As a Mobile Application Developer you will be responsible for working with our DL Reader product to build additional features and resolve customer issues. This will involve the use of Agile methodology to develop features and solicit design feedback while mentoring and working with team members. Our product and business needs dictate that we find someone willing to work on either iOS or Android platforms, or both, as our needs require. You will work with a team of smart, motivated, and talented developers who represent a wide and diverse spectrum of talent. Our Mobile Application Developer will:

• Develop native mobile applications on Android or iOS platforms, with a willingness to work with both. Experience working on iOS applications is preferred.
• Build prototypes quickly in short sessions to solicit feedback
• Turn designs into pixel-perfect elegant products
• Work well with Product and Support teams to complete tasks and objectives according to deadline requirements while shifting priorities when needed
• Write unit tests and functional tests
• Resolve performance and memory management issues
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a deadline-driven environment; this may require working more than 40 hours/week when needed.

Required Skills:

• At least 3 years of Mobile development experience
• 4-5 years of overall development experience in a professional setting.
• Proficient with one of the following platforms: iOS or Android
• Expert level mastery in one or more of these languages: Objective-C, C++, Java
• Solid understanding of OO Design and MVC architectures
• Strong commitment to meeting deadlines
• Attention to quality and detail
• Drive and ability to gather and expand project requirements
• Personality and temperament suitable to working closely with a variety of others on a variety of endeavors
• Computer science, engineering or equivalent degree or commensurate experience

Desired Skills:

• Version control; git preferred
• Interface design experience
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Experience using cocoa
