Chicago, IL, May 13, 2009 — Datalogics today announced immediate availability of Adobe PDF JobReady 3.1. This new release adds support for building print workflow clients which can be deployed automatically using Microsoft Installer (MSI) packaged -based installation.
Adobe PDF JobReady enables print providers to offer more secure Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) print workflows that begin at their customers’ desktops and extend across the Internet to the final output device. Software developers use Adobe PDF JobReady as the print job delivery mechanism for their print workflow applications. With Adobe PDF JobReady, print jobs created from any authoring application are automatically converted to secure, reliable PDFs. These PDFs are created in conformance to the specific technical requirements of the destination printer (fonts embedded, graphics of correct type and resolution, etc.), thus ensuring that the job is indeed “job ready”.
Print workflow applications using Adobe PDF JobReady generally fall under one of two categories: either print service provider applications, or internal IT print workflow applications. For internal IT print workflow applications especially, the ability to create client installs which can be remotely installed via Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) enables more effective deployment options within the enterprise.
Adobe PDF JobReady 3.1 is immediately available directly from Datalogics.
