Datalogics reaches out to Brazil: Xeriph and Gato Sabido license Adobe Content Server

Chicago, IL, May 10, 2011 — Datalogics, Inc, the premier channel for Adobe document technologies, today announced it has licensed Adobe Content Server to Xeriph and Gato Sabido, two young companies from Brazil's emerging digital publishing market. This marks Datalogics' 44th and 45th ACS customers in 28 countries in the last 3 months.

In addition to Adobe Content Server, both Gato Sabido and Xeriph have also licensed Adobe Reader Mobile SDK from Datalogics to build customized eBook reader apps for Android and iOS devices tied to the eBookstores of their clients.

Xeriph, the first digital content aggregator in Latin America, distributes Adobe DRM-protected content for over 100 Brazilian publishers, and now, seeking an even more aggressive expansion, bets on high quality white label solutions, provided by ACS technology.

Gato Sabido is the leading online bookstore for eBook content in the Portuguese language and the first to offer content protected with Adobe DRM in Brazil. They currently provide a third-party mobile solution and now are going the full way to develop their own range of applications, including a customized dedicated eReader.

Adobe Content Server is a robust server solution that digitally protects PDF and reflowable EPUB eBooks for Adobe Digital Editions software and supported mobile devices, including eInk, smartphone apps and tablet devices. Easy to integrate into existing systems using industry-standard technologies, Content Server 4 allows you to host and manage eBooks on your existing infrastructure. Content Server also supports lending libraries and third-party solution providers.

"We look forward to working with Datalogics", said Carlos Ernanny, CEO at Gato Sabido. "They have been very good to work with, took the time to visit our offices to discuss our implementation, and have provided excellent support for this and other related Adobe eBook technologies."

"We have been using Adobe Content Server for over a year now, and it is by far the solution that best meets our needs for deploying protected eBooks," affirms Bernardo Bicalho, Xeriph's CTO. "By acquiring Adobe Reader Mobile SDK license, we can offer our clients high quality white label solutions, helping them expand their customer base and increase user retention and conversion rates".

"We are very happy to establish a relationship with Xeriph and Gato Sabido," said Greg Manuel, Vice President of Marketing at Datalogics, "and are equally pleased with the rapid rate of uptake of our licensing and technical support services for ACS. We believe this is a testament to the quality of our support and our years of experience providing Adobe technologies to software developers and content providers. We look forward to supporting both companies as they deploy not only Adobe Content Server, but also Adobe Reader Mobile SDK and the development of Gato Sabido's dedicated eReader."

Datalogics is an Adobe Portfolio Company who has been licensing Adobe technologies to software developers and publishers since 1995. They have licensed Adobe Content Server since February 2011, and in the last three months have signed up over 50 publishers in 28 countries.
