Datalogics and EAST Co. announce the availability in Japan of Adobe Content Server

Chicago, IL, March 9, 2012 — Datalogics, Incorporated, the premier source for Adobe technology, today announced the availability in Japan of Adobe Content Server (ACS) through Tokyo-based technology partner EAST Co., Ltd. Adobe Content Server joins the current set of technologies sourced from Datalogics and available through EAST to the Japanese market. These technologies include Adobe Reader Mobile SDK, Adobe PDF Library, Adobe Normalizer, and DL PDF2IMG.

Adobe Content Server is a technology platform that digitally protects EPUB and PDF eBook content on reading devices and smartphone applications. Content is protected using industry-standard Adobe DRM, the same protection employed by hundreds of libraries, universities and publishers worldwide. Content managed by the ACS platform can be read using the free Adobe Digital Editions Reader and any viewer built using the Adobe Reader Mobile SDK. Through the terms of this agreement, EAST Co. will provide licensing and support services for the Japanese market for Adobe Content Server. EAST will also provide all of Datalogics' ACS-related services and enhancements, including license transition services, enhanced documentation, marketing services and related technologies including Adobe Reader Mobile SDK with the ready-to-go DL Reader brandable viewer reference app, which content providers can customize and use to create a branded app tied to their eBookstore.
