The Adobe Reader Mobile SDK (RMSDK) is Adobe’s toolkit for rendering EPUB and PDF content for eReading apps and devices. It powers dedicated eReaders including Barnes & Noble nook, Kobo, Bookeen as well as hundreds of custom eReading apps on iOS and Android. Adobe Content Server users will be excited to know that ACS 6 supports new business models that allow for easy distribution of content to different markets and geographies.
Adobe Reader Mobile SDK is a software development kit which application developers use to create and build custom eBook viewers. It supports a broad array of reading functionality.
Adobe Vendor ID works with Adobe Reader Mobile SDK and Adobe Content Server, to enable streamlining of the device activation and content authorization process for eBooks, and improve the eReading experience for your users.
Adobe Vendor ID allows vendors to streamline the content authorization process by providing vendors with a unique ID which can be used to authorize content on behalf of its users. This eliminates the need for readers to create, use, or see their Adobe ID. Vendors gain more control over the authorization process; and can effectively eliminate the dependency on Adobe ID for their users. Adobe Vendor ID supports a joining mechanism whereby Adobe ID-based user accounts can be “joined” with Vendor ID -based ones.
